many opportunities to sponsor and help

We live in a world that doesn’t always serve up Chicken Soup. In the United States, 1 in 3 females and 1 in 7 males are assaulted, and each week one-hundred youth end their lives. Since 2010, in partnership with CMS area schools and HUGS our bullying and self-harm prevention facilitators have been invited into high schools to address the rise in disturbing trends amongst our nation’s young people. Through our classroom discussions, we identified a way to help youth and young adults deal with daily stressors compounded at times by depression, trauma or overwhelming circumstances.

TEEN REACH hosts day-long events to educate participants with additional coping skills. Our guest speakers have included ABC’s Bachelorette Emily Maynard, Success by Choice Motivational Speaker Marlon Smith, NFL lineman Marques Ogden and other special guests, including bullied survivors. These public figures openly share their stories of overcoming obstacles in order to help remove stigma and start conversations. Break-out sessions include positive choices for dealing with life’s stressors like: canoeing/kayaking, music and songwriting, makeovers with image consultants, Zumba, Yoga, art, the video game truck, soccer, disc-golf, horseback riding and more!

A guardian(s) reunites with their youth participant for dinner and closing ceremony. The cost of each youth participant plus one adult averages about $65 (additional adult’s $10/ea.). However, participants can qualify for needs based  scholarships. The generous donations of individuals and our sponsors allows us to offer this opportunity at no cost to all who need it.

Teen Reach is a 501c3 non-profit organization I.D. 47-1797126. Donations are tax deductible and can be made safely online below or mailed to 9935 Rea Rd. Ste D-232 Charlotte NC 28277. Once a donation is received you will receive a tax I.D. letter for your records.

A support network of families, schools, community leaders, and our corporate partners will empower youth to make wise choices for their future health and well-being.   Thank you for being a vital part of their success!

Please help us help our youth walk the talk of positive choices!
